BIS was founded in 1987 to provide high-quality formal education for international pupils between the age of 3 and 18. The school offers Bilingual Early Learning, Bilingual Primary section – French and English (recognised by the French Ministry of Education), Bilingual Middle School – French and English: 10-14 years, and an English Secondary section for students aged 15-18 (preparation for English IGCSE and Advanced level examinations). The students come from over twenty countries and their length of stay ranges from six months to ten years. In Early Learning, Primary and Middle School / College, approximately 50% of the students are French. In the English High School, there are a large majority of English-speaking students, but also students from all backgrounds and nationalities, including French, who prepare university entrance diplomas for their stay in a foreign school. In September 2018 an extra 300m² will provide seven new classrooms, a multimedia library, a computer room and a science lab.
