MumAbroad Girona Province

 

Girona Province incorporates the city of the same name, the coastal region of the Costa Brava and inland regions of the Alt and Baix Empordàs. Girona city is the province’s capital and is located in the North East of Catalonia, 99 km from Barcelona. It is renowned for its medieval architecture, walled Old Quarter (Barri Vell) and the Roman remains of the Força Vella fortress. In recent years, increasing numbers of international families are choosing to relocate to this wealthy region thanks to its reputation as having Spain’s best quality of life, thriving local economy, stunning scenery and good connections with the rest of Europe.
