Numont School

Numont School in Madrid was founded in 1962 by Margaret Ann Swanson, and teaches the English national curriculum to pupils ages 2-12 years old. The school has an agreement with the International School of Madrid to guarantee pupils a secondary school place.


Numont School school is a nursery & primary school with pupils from Nursery to Year 6 (2 to 12 years old).

Since 1997, the school was accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education for a licence to admit Spanish students. The English curriculum is taught by native English speakers with British qualifications, but with obligatory Spanish subjects. The school’s dominant nationality has become 70% Spanish-speaking students, with the rest of pupils from over 40 nationalities.

The school is a member of the highly-regarded National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).

Fees & Admissions

The school does not make its fees public, but fees are around €5,000 annually plus a one-time €1,000 registration fee – according to the International Schools Database.

Numont has been based on C/Parma in the Hortaleza region of Madrid since 1969. The closest metro station is Arturo Soria and the school is a 25-minuter drive from the city centre.
