American School of Barcelona: American Curriculum & IBDP

The American School of Barcelona (ASB) is a non-profit international school serving nearly 1000 students from 60 countries. ASB is distinguished by its strong academic programme and vibrant multicultural community.

Curriculum

ASB offers a rigorous, American-style curriculum from preschool through high school, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the final two years. Starting in 2025, the school will also offer the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), providing students with an additional academic pathway.

The school is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. In addition to its academic program, ASB offers a wide range of after-school sports and activities and actively participates in local and international community service initiatives.

ASB is committed to preparing students for success at top universities in the United States, Spain, and across Europe through its globally focused curriculum.

Location

ASB is located in Esplugues de Llobregat, on the outskirts of Barcelona, approximately 30 minutes from the city centre.

Fees & Admissions

Tuition fees start at €14,000 for early years, rising to up to €26,000 for year 13. Please visit the school’s website for more detail.
