Founded in 1968, Aula Escola Europea is a private, co-ed plurilingual school that seeks excellence in the intellectual, ethical, creative, artistic and physical development of young people. Aula has elaborated its own educational project that has shown to be successful both on an academic and personal level. Students reach a high level of spoken and written Catalan, Spanish, English and French. From 3 to 6 years old, they are progressively introduced to each language. All 4 languages are used as languages of instruction for content courses throughout the curriculum. The school currently has about 1,250 students divided into 15 levels, from 3 to 18 years old. Starting in 2012, students in post-obligatory education study a double title curriculum through the local Batxillerat as well as the International Baccalaureate system, allowing them to apply to universities in Spain and throughout the world.
