BMW Welt & BMW Museum

Two of the most popular tourist attractions in Germany are located in the immediate vicinity of the Olympic Park: BMW Welt and the BMW Museum. BMW Welt impresses with its unmistakeable, futuristic architecture as well as a wide range of exhibitions and events. The latest BMW products, ranging from cars to motorbikes are on display. Just a few metres away, the BMW Museum presents the history of the BMW company, brand and products; 125 of the most valuable and attractive original exhibits from nine decades of history can be seen on the 5,000 m² of exhibition space. Guided tours and an exclusive area for children – the Junior Campus – complete the offerings. The Junior Programme at BMW Welt and the BMW Museum is rich in variety and offers workshops and experiences for all visitors aged between 5 and 18.

For car crazy boys and girls, this is an absolute must as you get to explore the world of BMW and see inside lots of different cars and bikes – including a formula one car and also their “cars of the future”. Whilst our children enjoyed it immensely I found the tour guide a little too salesy! Be warned not to take husbands or you might walk away with a brand new car! (Katja Carter)
