The British School Alzira is a large educational complex founded in 1997 that teaches the English national curriculum to pupils aged 1 – 18.

Curriculum

The British School Alzira teaches pupils the English national curriculum through iGCSE and A Level qualifications. The school also offers obligatory Spanish-language subjects of language, humanities and culture to allow pupils to obtain the national Spanish ESO and Bachillerato qualifications. The dual qualifications allow alumni to apply for universities in both the UK and Spain. The studies corresponding to the Spanish language and culture are taught by qualified teachers of Spanish nationality.

The school’s main building is itself a work of history and art, and was decorated by renowned artists such as the sculptor Esteve Edo and the painters Joaquín Michavila and Ricardo Llorens.

Location

The school is located in the Valley of Aguas Vivas, near Alzira in the province of Valencia, and is a 50-minute drive south from Valencia city.
