La playa Cala Portixolo la Barraca

September 20, 2017 | Activities, Costa Blanca, Spain, Valencia & Costa Blanca

A beautiful pebbled beach secluded in Jávea. A stunning little haven to take the kids for a paddle or have a picnic without the hussle an bussle of tourists. The beach is named after the traditional fisherman’s cottages that still stand along the perimeter of the beach. Parking facilities and a quaint seaside restaurant that specialises in seafood make this a comfortable spot to come and enjoy the sun, sea and fresh breezes.

A much better alternative to Platja de l’Arenal. There is also an amazing restaurant on the beach called Barraca, selling the most delicious paella and tapas! With the best view in town. (Claire Conway)
