In June 2011, the Careggi Hospital also established a Centre for Integrative Medicine, aimed at care, research, teaching and supervision in the area of complementary and alternative medicine.
Careggi is well known for its Margherita programme, which is just like a modern American birthing clinic. The Margherita programme focuses on natural childbirth. To qualify, you must have an absolutely smooth pregnancy with no signs of possible complications.
