Casina di Raffaello Play Centre
Casina di Raffaello is a vibrant cultural and creative space located inside Villa Borghese, dedicated primarily to children, families, schools, and educators. It was established in 2006 by the municipal administration of Rome and functions as a ludoteca (play and learning centre) that encourages artistic, imaginative, and educational experiences through play, books, and creative activities for children.
Housed in a beautifully restored 16th-century building in the heart of Villa Borghese, the play centre has a full programme of educational workshops, exhibitions, animated book readings and other events for children aged 18 months to 14 years old.
The centre’s facilities include dedicated areas for different age groups, a specialised library and bookshop, spaces for free play and reading, workshop rooms, terrace areas, and soft play areas for very young children.
There is also a birthday party service, offering a range of creative workshops to choose from and themes including zoo animals and flowers.
