The International Montessori Center Perugia (Centro Internazionale Montessori Perugia) teaches pupils from 4 months to 18 years of age.

About

The majority of Montessori schools are aimed at children from zero to five years, before starting mainstream education.

However, the International Montessori Center Perugia accommodates pupils from early years right up to the age of 18.

The school has five different programmes:

  • Nido – ages 0-3
  • Casa dei Bambini – 3-6
  • Scuola Primaria – 6-11
  • Scuola Media – 11-13
  • Licei – 13-18

Il Nido, la Casa dei Bambini  and the Primary School all offer a bilingual education Italian/English.

Montessori is an education philosophy and practice that fosters rigorous, self-motivated growth for children and adolescents in all areas of their development, with a goal of nurturing each child’s natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect.

Location

The school is based close to the centre of Perugia, and is a short 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the old centre of Perugia.
