February 19, 2018 | Catalonia, Schools Catalonia

The Colegio Montserrat Barcelona offers the Spanish national curriculum as well as the International Baccalaureate programme across nursery, primary and secondary education, catering for students aged 0 – 18.

The school was founded in 1928 as a religious-motivated institution by the Missioneres Filles de la Sagrada Família de Natzaret group. The school remains committed to the formation of Christian families.

The educational system at Colegio Montserrat is based on the Early Stimulation and Multiple Intelligences theory and it uses proactive methodologies for a student-centred learning for children from 0 to 18 years. The school encourages autonomy, commitment, cooperative learning and collaboration with the aim of improving the social environment. The integration of technologies facilitates personalised learning which is contextualised in real life. The presence of art, music, drama and visual media in the curriculum contributes to the enhancement of self-expression and aesthetic sensitivity.

The school’s website is in Catalan only. For information on admissions and fees, prospective parents can fill out an online form (in Catalan) on the school’s website.
