Founding Partner Sioban O’Connor has over 30 years of experience in UK Independent Schools and can also honestly claim that she has been involved in Independent Education for most of her life and from all angles; as a pupil, teacher, Deputy Head, Headteacher and parent. She and her team are committed to and passionate about supporting families and young people find the best fit school.
As former teachers, school leaders and parents the team have seen at first hand the transformative power of a great education. They recognise that every child is different and what is right for one, may not be right for another, sometimes even in the same family. Where Debrett’s believe they differ from their competitors is that first and foremost, they work for families and not for the schools. We love our work – there is nothing better than finding a place for a child, who sometimes may have had a bad experience in a school or, where perhaps there is a bit of anxiety about the process of making a change and supporting the whole family through that process and guiding everyone through to a successful placement. We recognise that it is a big commitment on all sides, not just financially and that is all the more reason to get it right.
