Deutsches Museum Flugwerft Schleissheim

Flugwerft Schleissheim is an aviation museum located in the German town of Oberschleißheim near Munich. It is a branch of the Deutsches Museum and complements the aviation exhibits on display at the main site. This is aviation history on a historic airfield. From the early Gleitflugapparat glider to the Euro­ fighter, the approximately 70 aircraft on display document a century of civil and military aviation. Guided tours are available but you need to book in advance. Open daily from 9.00 to 17.00.

    it’s a nice day trip from Munich around 30 to 40 min by train. Suitable for children of all ages. Our kids loved being able to climb into the cockpit and pretend they were pilots. (Jane)
