Discover Futuroscope Xperiences: France’s Most Innovative Theme Park for Families

July 11, 2026 | Blog, Holidays & Travel, Parenting

Futuroscope Xperiences is one of Europe’s most distinctive family destinations, where technology, storytelling and immersive experiences come together in a way you simply won’t find anywhere else.

The resort combines a world-renowned theme park, an award-winning indoor water park, and themed hotels to offer families, and adults travelling without children, adventure, discovery and unforgettable memories.

With exciting new attractions arriving in 2026 and the park preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027, we spoke with Eléonore Fourré, International Communications Manager at Futuroscope Xperiences, to learn more about what makes the resort so special and what visitors can look forward to on their next family break.

How Futuroscope Uses Technology to Create Immersive Experiences

For almost 40 years, Futuroscope has developed a distinctive identity: using cutting-edge technology to tell stories and evoke genuine emotion.  Our goal isn’t simply to showcase technology and science, in the way a museum might, but to harness them to inspire wonder, excitement and create unforgettable sensory experiences. Each experience is designed to offer visitors of all ages a completely unique adventure, with giant screens, immersive worlds, multisensory effects, and more.

What’s New at Futuroscope in 2026?

Discover La Serre des Mondes

La Serre des Mondes (The Greenhouse of Worlds) is one of our major new attractions for 2026. Developed in collaboration with the Canadian creative studio Moment Factory, this immersive, interactive experience invites visitors to explore a fantastical botanical realm filled with extraordinary (digital) plants.

As visitors move through the animated attraction, they interact with a living environment where images, sound, lighting and digital effects respond to their presence. The result is a poetic, contemplative experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Get Up Close to Dinosaurs and Walk in the Footsteps of a Giant

In T. Rex, sur les traces d’un géant, visitors travel back in time more than 67 million years to discover one of the most fascinating animals in our planet’s history.

Thanks to the latest scientific breakthroughs and spectacular visuals projected onto a massive 900 m² dome screen, inside the famous Omnimax theater, the strikingly realistic experience immerses families in the world of dinosaurs. It is both spectacular and highly immersive.

Some of the Best Attractions at Futuroscope

Pulse! L’Odyssée Électrique: Interactive Fun for All Ages

Pulse ! L’Odyssée Électrique is a family-friendly experience, created in partnership with EDF, that places visitors at the heart of tomorrow’s energy challenges. Through an interactive and fun-filled journey, the audience discovers how electricity is generated, transformed, and used in everyday life.

Rather than relying on adrenaline-fuelled thrills, the attraction encourages participation, curiosity and discovery. It’s suitable for all ages, allowing children and adults alike to learn while having fun.

Mission Bermudes: Best European Attraction in 2025

One of Futuroscope’s most frequently mentioned attractions, having won numerous international awards, including Best European Attraction in 2025, Mission Bermudes is a spectacular adventure that combines a variety of sensations.

Visitors embark on a boat journey for an expedition into the mysterious Bermuda region, where strange phenomena and unexpected events unfold one after another. After navigating rapids, special effects and immersive scenery, the adventure ends with an exhilarating 16-metre drop.

Combining water sections, bursts of speed, immersive sets, and spectacular special effects, the attraction offers a unique blend of adventure, surprise, and thrills suitable for a wide audience. It’s part water ride, part roller coaster – and one you’ll want to experience again and again.

Blast Off on Objectif Mars

Objectif Mars takes visitors on a unique space mission that combines storytelling, impressive settings and dynamic thrills. Visitors become real-life astronauts preparing for a journey to the Red Planet. It’s our favorite roller coaster, featuring top speeds of up to 55 km per hour!

Step Inside a Tornado with Chasseurs de Tornades

Meanwhile, Chasseurs de Tornades places visitors right at the centre of an extreme weather event using a one-of-a-kind theatrical technology. With Europe’s largest circular LED screen and a rotating platform that rises, falls and tilts in sync with the action, it genuinely feels as though you’re caught inside a tornado.

Why Futuroscope Makes the Ideal Multi-Day Break

Aquascope: Futuroscope’s Innovative Indoor Water Park Adventure

Aquascope was named the World’s Best Water Park at the 2024 Thea Awards. It reinvents the traditional water park experience by incorporating immersive technologies, such as Europe’s first aquatic cinema.

For thrill-seekers, there are eight giant slides to enjoy solo, as a pair or in groups of four. Younger children will love La Faille de Kraki (Kraki’s Rift), an interactive aquatic playground where the park’s famous octopus, Kraki, reigns supreme.

Aquascope is the perfect complement to Futuroscope. We recommend spending at least two days exploring Futuroscope Park and dedicating a third day to Aquascope, for the perfect, varied short break.

Where to Stay at Futuroscope Xperiences

Our hotels extend the immersive experience long after guests leave the park.

Station Cosmos invites visitors to become intergalactic heroes during an unforgettable space stopover. Its four-star comfort and prime location beside the park entrance make it especially popular. A particular highlight is Space Loop, the roller coaster restaurant where dishes perform loops before arriving piping hot at your table.

Ecolodgee offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, featuring eco-friendly lodges set within a tranquil natural environment. One of guests’ favourite touches is breakfast, delivered each morning in a traditional wicker basket left outside the lodge.

Each hotel has its own distinctive character, allowing families to continue the adventure right through their stay.

Practical Tips for Your First Visit to Futuroscope

I’d recommend allowing at least two to three days to enjoy everything the resort has to offer. It’s also worth downloading the park app to check live queue times and plan your day efficiently.

Don’t miss our flagship attractions, including iconic attractions like Objectif Mars, Chasseurs de Tornades, Mission Bermudes, and L’Extraordinaire Voyage, consistently voted our visitors’ favorite attraction, as well as the nighttime show La Clé des Songes, which is often a highlight for guests.
