Jenny
As a first time mother, especially without my family close by, a million questions and concerns came into my head. Luckily my partner and I found Sylvie – though unfortunately only during the last few months of the pregnancy. From the first meeting I knew that Sylvie could be a source of peace and reassurance for us. Her warm spirit provided comfort from the very beginning. For any concern I had she always offered peace of mind with her kind and knowledgeable words, or searched for answers to offer me later. She offered her experience as a woman, help around the house, pain/stress- relieving massages, preparing for the birth and after, but most of all for me it was like having another mother there to hold my hand on my first journey to motherhood; caring genuinely for my needs and looking for ways to help. I knew I could contact her at any time day or night. My only regret is that I wish the hospital would have been more accepting in allowing her presence at the birth. (Jen)
