The French Riviera is home to a diverse international community from many different countries and cultures, with numerous different international and bilingual schools in Nice and the PACA region (Provence-Alpes-Cote-d’Azur) for expat families to choose from.

 

The International School of Nice is a private, bilingual school for students aged 4-18 and offers the International Baccalaureate and IGCSEs. The majority of classes are taught in English with French lessons available. ISN is also a test centre for the American SAT exams and many graduating students go on to pursue Higher Education around the world. 

 

The International School of Monaco is a highly regarded private bilingual school with excellent facilities overlooking the iconic Port of Monaco. There are over 50 nationalities represented and pupils work towards IGCSEs and the IB. 

 

Mougins School, set 30 minutes from Nice and just 15 minutes from Cannes, is a private school following the British curriculum and examination system, with around 500 students from 40 nationalities.

The Ecole Bilingue Internationale Côte d’Azur (EBICA) is another ideal establishment for families seeking a balanced English-French option, offering pupils the broad choice between IGCSEs, A-levels, the French Baccalaureate and the IB.

 

Other reputed multilingual schools in the region that welcome pupils up to the age of 15 include Les Pouces Verts, a Montessori School in Mouans-Sartoux and the bilingual ABC School in Nice, where pupils can work towards to GCSEs.

 

There are also several state Collèges and Lycées offering international options, including Collège Charles III and Lycée Albert 1er in Monaco where students can take the baccalaureate with an international option, and the Collège and Lycée International Valbonne, a state school with Anglo-American, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian international sections.

 

Slightly further afield, the International Bilingual School of Provence is a mixed day and boarding school on the outskirts of Aix-en-Provence, offering the  choice between the traditional French curriculum and the IB, as well as the IGCSEs from Cambridge.
