International Schools in Toulouse

Well known for its connections to the aviation and space industries, Toulouse is home to a growing expat community, drawn to the city’s enviable quality of life and exciting professional opportunities. Choosing the right school for your children one of the most important decisions you will make and settling into a new school community is one of the key ways to help international families feel at home, and able to integrate into the local way of life.

France’s 4th largest city has a breadth of different education options, both within the French state system and independent schools for children from different cultural backgrounds. The Pink City is home to several highly regarded multilingual private schools, with different options to suit each family’s individual tastes and needs.

The International School of Toulouse is a fantastic, English-speaking school for pupils aged 4 to 18, with just under half of students from British families (though over thirty different nationalities are represented overall). Originally founded by Airbus to facilitate education for children of the company’s hugely international workforce, the school offers the IB Diploma programme through its’ high school and boasts a lovely campus in Colomiers, to the West of Toulouse itself. While most classes are taught in Endglish, French, Spanish and German classes are also available as both first and second languages in the secondary school.

For little ones through pre-school and primary ages, there are numerous friendly, independent schools in Toulouse including the bilingual Kaleidescope, offering an immersive French-English environment for children from Maternelle to the end of CM2 (last year of primary school). Set in the countryside surrounding the city centre, The International Montessori School offers a friendly, creative bilingual education for little ones aged 2 to 6.
