Electropolis Museum, Mulhouse

The EDF Electropolis Museum is the largest museum in Europe dedicated to Electrical Energy. It presents electricity from a historical, sociological, technical, economic and cultural view point. The museum’s collection, unique in Europe, units objects linked to the scientific discovery of electricity and its industrial uses and domestic objects illustrating the radical changes to everyday comfort, household appliances, communications and the audiovisual sector over a century.

    For kids who love science, this museum is actually not bad! The electricity museum in Mulhouse displays old electricity generating machines used in industries, has some interactive activities to understand electricity, shows static electricity effects on peoples hairs, renews their exhibitions … worth a visit on a rainy day. (AM)
