Elian’s British School of La Nucía is a British school in Alicante which opened in September 2002 and is part of Dukes Education Group. Elian’s teaches the English National Curriculum and IB Diploma for pupils from pre-nursery to sixth form (1 -18 years).

Elian’s British School of La Nucía is a private school, and a proud member of the Dukes Education group. Elian’s provides a comprehensive education, from preschool to Baccalaureate, focused on developing self-confidence and critical thinking skills in its students.

Curriculum

In Early Years and Primary, students follow the English National Curriculum enriched with the main subjects from the Spanish curriculum. In secondary school, pupils also study subjects from the Spanish curriculum: Spanish Language, Social Sciences, Valenciano and Mathematics. At the end of Year 11, students take IGCSE exams in at least 8 subjects. Students’ results can also be recognised by the Spanish authorities and, if they meet requirements, are eligible for the Graduado en Educación Secundaria Obligatoria.

In sixth form, students take their IB Diploma, as well as the Spanish national Pruebas de Competencia Específica (PCE) to prepare them for making university applications around the world.

Location

Elian’s British School of La Nucía is a 40-minute drive north of Alicante city, and is just inland from La Nucía and Benidorm on the Costa Blanca.
