The European International School of Barcelona teaches students ages 0-18 years, and allows them to graduate with the national Spanish Bachillerato, English AS and A Levels or an American High School Diploma. The school is the only non-British in Spain that is regulated to provide IGCSEs to students in years 10-11.
The European International School of Barcelona follows the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) at its primary school, focusing on English as the language of instruction. Students take GCSEs and secondary school, while an expanded curriculum includes the following qualifications: Cambridge First Certificate, Cambridge Advanced and Proficiency (English), DELF A1/B1/B2 (French), Goethe A2/B1/B2 (German) and HSK A2/B2 (Chinese). The school is a member of the ECIS (European Council of International Schools), the CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and EDEXCEL (IGCSE Exams and International Advanced Levels).
The school is located in Sant Cugat del Valles, in the hills behind Barcelona. It is a 35 minute drive from the city centre.
The European International School of Barcelona does not make its fees public, but according to the International Schools Database, annual fees range from €4,675 to €11,810 depending on a pupil’s age. The admissions process can be started via an online portal here.
