Frankfurt International School (FIS) is one of Europe’s oldest and largest international schools, welcoming students and families from around the world to a diverse and inclusive learning community. FIS offers an English-language education from age 3 through Grade 12 across two campuses in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region. The campus in Oberursel serves students from age 3 to Grade 12, while the campus in Wiesbaden-Naurod offers a dedicated learning environment for students from age 3 – Grade 8.

English is the primary language of instruction, with English as a Second Language (ESL) support available to students who need it. German is an integral part of the curriculum, with courses offered at a range of levels and required for all students. In Grade 10-12, eligible non-native German speakers may choose to continue German or, based on their proficiency level, follow an alternative pathway.

FIS offers both the American High School Diploma and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, with more than 40 years of experience delivering the IB Diploma Programme. As a founding member of the International Baccalaureate Organization, FIS has a long-standing commitment to internationally recognized education and university preparation.

The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is a member of leading international education organizations, including the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and the Association for German International Schools (AGIS). FIS is also a registered examination center for IB, PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP examinations.
