Frankfurt International School (FIS) offers a wide range of American, German and IB programmes for pupils from ages 3 – 18.
Frankfurt International School is one of the oldest and largest international schools in Europe.
FIS is organised into three distinct divisions: Primary School, Elementary School, and Upper School (which operates as a branch of FIS on a separate campus in the Wiesbaden suburb of Naurod).
English is the primary language of instruction and English as a Second Language (ESL) support is available for all students who need it. German courses, at a variety of levels, are available in all grades and required of every student.
Non-native German speakers in Grades 10-12 who have reached a pre-established proficiency standard may opt out of the German programme and take the standard American High School Diploma, or the IB Diploma.
FIS is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It is also a founding member of the International Baccalaureate Organization and has been offering the IB Diploma Programme for more than 40 years, as well as an American High School Diploma. FIS is a registered examination centre for the IB, PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP exams. The school is a member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and the Association for German International Schools (AGIS).
School fees range between €21,310 to €26,420. The school also asks for a €6,000 Capital Assessment Fee. For more details see here.
