Frankfurt Zoo is a green oasis in the middle of the city and home to more than 4,500 animals (about 450 different species). The zoo’s educational department offers tours for all ages, including elementary and high school pupils, college students, teachers, professors, and enyone interested in learning more about the zoo. Children can also celebrate a “wild” birthday party at the zoo: individual tours can be arranged to include your favourite animals or a scavenger hunt organised. Open every day of the year, including all holidays from 9am to 7pm (Sumer time) and from 9am to 5pm (Winter time), but be sure to book your tickets online prior to your visit.

What child doesn’t enjoy a zoo and this one has all the usual animals for the kids to study! We have always found the staff nice and helpful and the food/drink is OK – I can recommend the waffle stand 🙂 Parking is a bit of a nightmare so better to get the underground. (Jenny Drake)
