Glitterati is not just an English bookshop but also an Aladdin’s cave of interesting and unusual gifts. Beverley, previously a teacher, focuses on a good selection of children’s books from puzzle and sticker books through to reference and study books as well as the favourite nursery rhymes and fairy stories you would expect to find. There are also a selection of children’s soft toys and presents for christenings and new babies. Teenagers are not forgotten either with various sagas of vampires and the supernatural. New lines to the shop are children’s party bags and favours and a little gift box (as an alternative to the gift bag) much more practical for the piece of cake to take home after the party! There are a selection of little gifts for boys and girls.

This delightful shop should be the first port of call whenever you need to buy a gift or simply want to treat yourself. There is a great range of books, both fiction and non-fiction to suit ALL ages and interests, and there is always a box of Bargain Books. A cosy corner has been set aside for a wide range of childrens books, and if help is needed in deciding which is suitable for a particular age group, owner Beverley is able to advise. In fact, take your child along to choose for her/himself.
