Hamburger Dom

January 17, 2018 | Activities, Germany, Hamburg

The Hamburger Dom is a large fair held at Heiligengeistfeld fair ground in central Hamburg. With three fairs per year it is the biggest and the longest fair throughout Germany and attracts approximately ten million visitors per year. From vintage horse-carousels to thrilling high-tech roller coaster rides, there is something for everyone. Besides the attractions, you’ll also find delicious food, from sweets and traditional snacks to hearty multi-course meals, and if that isn’t already enough, you can also enjoy performances by actors and fortune tellers! There are also special events, like the fireworks that can be seen every Friday night at 10:30pm.

Great funfair atmosphere with lots of typical rides, food and drinks. From the Ferris Wheel you have a great view of Hamburg. They have a great firework display at the weekends if you are prepared to keep the kids up late. (Kate Pinkerton)
