December 11, 2017 | Italy, Tuscany & Umbria

The Harold Acton Library of The British Institute of Florence holds many cultural events throughout the year which may be of interest to older teenagers. Talking Pictures is a series held 3 times each year showing films in original version: January to March, April to June, September to December. Every year in April the British Institute celebrates the anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare with a packed programme of events focussing on a specific Shakespeare play. During the week there are screenings of films based on Shakespeare plays and a lecture held by a distinguished Shakespearean scholar. These activities are open to members of the Library.
