Founded in 1885 by Rose Hattemer, the Hattemer Academy educates children from infant to the end of secondary school using a unique teaching methodology renowned for its quality and tradition, and with a strong English tuition alongside the main language of French.
Hattemer Academy is known for its rigor and attention to detail, its seriousness and the experience and knowledge of its teaching practitioners. Prestigious alumni include presidents, ministers, CEO’s and writers.
The school is characterised by its international focus and attention to the creative and academic development of its students via programmes like the STD2A (Science & Technology, Design and Applied Arts). Hattemer operates at a human level and each student is positioned at the centre of their own learning experience. Students are encouraged to work in a calm and focused manner for the duration of their academic careers and participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities to ensure the development of a fully rounded and happy individual. The school delivers the highest academic standards in the most individualized way to all children, based on the Hattemer methodology, traditional and innovative at the same time.
The original school is in the 8th district of Paris and the school in the 16th district opened in September 2017. Hattemer joined the Globeducate Group in 2017 and now students, parents and teachers alike enjoy the benefits of belonging to one of the world’s most active and successful international schools’ groups.
