Intermarché is one of the largest supermarket chains in France and is part of the large retail group Les Mousquetaires. The retailer offers the largest number of deals and discounts in-store. With more than 1,800 stores across the country, you’ll never be too far from an Intermarché, whether its a smaller-format supermarket or a hypermarkets.

Most stores will generally open at around 08:00 and close around 20:00 or 21:00. Supermarkets in larger cities will often have longing opening hours. It is important to not that most supermarkets in France remain closed on Sundays.

    I use this service for my weekly shop, it is really good. All you have to do is sit back and look through the virtual shop then choose which delievery time suits you! So much easier than trailing kids around the supermarket! (Vicky Smart)
