ISP embraces and promotes an international programme of study. The target language is English, while Italian is an integral part of the academic programme as it is the main language spoken by its students. The school follows the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate (IB), as well as the educational philosophy and pedagogical principles of the Gonzaga Institute. The school has a Nursery for children aged 2, and two sections: PYP (Primary Years Programme) for students aged 3-11 and Middle School, that in the school year 2017/18 students will be 14 years of age. By 2018/19 the school will have also the upper level of Middle School and by 2020/21 students will be able to conclude their studies with the IB Diploma Programme. ISP was awarded IB World School status in April 2013, the first authorised IB World School in Italy south of Rome. The School also offers excellent sporting and recreation facilities.
