Mundo Manía

– the Costa del Sol’s biggest indoor and outdoor play centre

How did Mundo Manía originate?

The founders of play centre Mundo Manía were simply frustrated by the lack of children’s activities in the local area of Estepona, especially in the winter months. Having previously lived in the UK, where there is an abundance of kids play centres and attractions, they decided to fill this gap in the market, and so Mundo Manía was born! The idea was to create a centre that would not only appeal to little kids but also provide facilities for teenagers and adults, providing a truly family orientated facility for everyone to enjoy, any time of the year.

What makes Mundo Manía stand out from the other play centres in the area?

There are many things that differentiate Mundo Manía from other kid’s attractions:

* It’s size. The centre is over 3,000m2 making it one of the largest of its kind.

* We offer both indoor and outdoor facilities making it the perfect venue whatever the weather.

* Our facilities cater for all ages, from toddlers right up to teenagers and adults!

* We have a café & bar that serves restaurant-quality food. Unlike other play centres, we wanted to ensure that the gastronomic offering was top quality. Our head chef Brizio has created a superb menu that offers a variety of dishes to suit every palate and all at very affordable prices. Indeed everyone who has dined at Mundo Manía has commented how great the food is!

*Our varied facilities make us the perfect venue for kids parties. Great facilities, great food and great staff as well as our varied party packages and party extras make us a firm favourite for kids parties of all nationalities.

*We provide great value for money – entry fees for kids are 12€ for 4 to 12-year-olds and 7€ for 1 to 3-year-olds but this includes unlimited play on the soft play frames, wet play and trampolines. Plus we don’t charge adults to enter.  What’s more, we run regular events and promotional offers.

What indoor activities do you have for babies and toddlers?

For babies and toddlers, we have an interactive baby and toddler play frame – a magical, safe and interactive ‘eduplay’ where little ones can explore, build, ride and slide! Toddlers can also use trampolines and wet play areas under parent supervision. On Wednesdays, we hold a parent and baby coffee morning from 11 am to 1 pm where parents can meet other parents and babies/toddlers can interact with other youngsters and enjoy a Baby Bounce & Rhyme Time class! Entry is just 5€ per adult. On Saturday’s we host a Saturday Club from 11 am to 1 pm. Aimed at 1 to 4-year-olds this session includes use of the soft play frames and a Rhymes and Stories class followed by a mini lunch and squash for the kids. All for only 7.50€ per child.

What activities do you have for 4 – 12-year-olds?

For 4 to 12 year olds we have a main play frame with a triple slide, twister slide, sports field, power tower, giant ball pool, trampoline and climbing wall. Inside there is also a foot pool and table games. Outside they can go wild in the magical wet play zone, bounce to their hearts content on the trampoline or have a fun kick about on the multi-sports pitches.

Are there activities for teenagers?

Mundo Manía has a great selection of table games including pool tables, air hockey and table tennis as well as a large Foot Pool table that teenagers can enjoy with friends whilst the little ones run wild. They can also use the multi-sports pitches for a kick about or 5 a side match. We also have several large TV screens showing popular sporting games.

It is clear that there are extensive play facilities, so while the kids enjoy themselves are there any facilities for the parents?

Outside we have an Atrium bar and plenty of seating with spectacular sea and mountain views, making it a great place to sit and enjoy lunch, dinner or drinks whilst the kids wear themselves out on all the facilities. There is also plenty of seating indoors with food and drink table service and TV screens showing all major sporting events.

You also host birthday parties. What type of party packages and themes do you offer?

Yes, our centre is very popular for kid’s parties. Our party packages start from just 11.95€ per child and include unlimited play on the wet play, soft play and trampolines as well as 2 hours use of a private party room or dedicated table outside, party food, squash and water and a one month’s free pass for the birthday girl or boy. There are 3 different party packages to choose from and we can build bespoke party packages upon request.

We have different party themes to choose from including paw patrol, superheroes, Disney princesses and Mundo Manía jungle theme, and as well as standard parties, we can also host football parties, foam parties and picnic parties. We also offer a wide range of party extras such as children’s entertainers, photographers, face painters, piñatas, goodie bags, birthday cakes, decorations, candy bars and more. Our staff will arrange everything you need to ensure your child has the most amazing party. We also cater for adults attending the party, with options for set meals, sharing platters or buffet style catering.

Mundo Manía is situated just outside of Estepona. Can you give us a bit of information about the town?

Estepona is located west of Marbella and is renowned for its beaches, which stretch along some 21km of coastline with beach bars and children’s play parks dotted along the promenade. It is a popular resort and holiday destination and comprises of a modern sports marina, quaint whitewashed town centre with pretty squares and a plethora of tapas bars, restaurants, cafés, bars and shops. Over recent years the town hall has heavily invested in the region adding a new school and theatre with a new indoor gastro market and new hospital on its way. It is an area that is becoming popular with expats looking to move to the Costa del Sol.

How family-friendly is the Costa del Sol in terms of facilities for children?

The Costa del Sol has an abundance of attractions for children but many are located in the Torremolinos/Benalmadena/Fuengirola areas so at least a 40 to 45-minute drive from Estepona. Such attractions include water parks, zoos, marine life centres, animal parks and theme parks. Entry to these attractions are generally expensive so it’s not something families can afford to do on a regular basis. Along the coast, there are also other facilities and attractions, but in the main these are outdoor, so weather dependent. This is why we were so keen to introduce a family entertainment centre that offers both indoor and outdoor facilities and is competitively priced so families can afford to return throughout the year.
