ISCAT Maresme

The International School of Catalunya (ISCAT) opened its doors for the first time in 2007 in La Garriga – visit La Garriga campus here – and the new ISCAT Maresme campus opened September 2019. The school began teaching pupils aged 3 – 18 in the 2021-22 academic year. Previously they only taught up to year 10, or key stage 4. The town of Canet de Mar is known for being the summer home of architect Lluís Domenech i Montaner and for its many beautiful modernist buildings.

Location

The ISCAT Maresme is based in Canet de Mar, on the northern end of the Maresme Coast. Canet de Mar is a 50 minute drive north of Barcelona, and 30 minutes south of Lloret de Mar, on the Costa Brava.

Curriculum

Like the ISCAT La Garriga, ISCAT Maresme follows the English curriculum, and in key stage 4 (years 10-11) students prepare for their IGCSE exams.

In key stage 4, during Year 10 and Year 11, students prepare for their IGCSE exams. Students who wish to convalidate their studies can follow the Catalan and Spanish curriculum offered by the school, obtaining the Spanish ESO qualification at the same time. A list of subject choices at A Level can be found on the school’s website.

School fees start at €7,350 and go up to €13,650 annually. A full list with enrolment fees and lunch fees for the 2020-21 academic calendar can be found here. School transport from strategic points is also provided. An application can be started via an online form on the website.
