Jardin des Tuileries is a public garden located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. They get their name from the tile factories which previously stood on the site. It hosts an annual funfair from mid-June until the end of August, with a traditional Ferris wheel. Permanent attractions include a playground and pony rides, which take place at weekends from 11am-6pm. It also features several fountains, numerous sculptures and two museums: the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume and the Musée de l’Orangerie, which displays Claude Monets large water lily paintings.

Great for the old fashioned wooden boats you push out on a stick, trampolines and carousels. (Jodie Hutchins)
