King’s College – A British Education in Murcia

The first British educational centre in the Murcia region, King’s College School Murcia was founded in September 2007 with 65 students. The school now has 545 students aged 18 months to 18 years old, and has already become a reference in the region thanks to the excellent results obtained by its students.

The school caters to every educational stage of the British system from nursery to the IB Diploma Programme, with an excellent team of more than 65 teaching professionals, the vast majority of whom are British.

King’s College Murcia teaches the English National Curriculum, which focuses on the comprehensive development of individual children through first-hand experiences, immersed in a completely Anglo-Saxon environment. At King’s, pupils learn through creativity, exploration and experimentation. The multidisciplinary nature of their approach makes it possible to cover several interrelated subjects in a practical and fun way.

The academic programme offers hands-on learning experiences, which is why King’s students are passionate about learning, open-minded and curious about the world around them. With excellent facilities, the school offers plenty of sports, musical, linguistic and artistic activities, offering a global education based on three fundamental pillars: academic excellence, sports and the performing and creative arts.

The internationally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme gives pupils access to outstanding higher education opportunities. Many past students have gone on to attend prestigious universities such as Oxford, Imperial College (London), ICADE (Madrid), The University of Navarra or UPCT (Cartagena).

Irrefutable proof of the very high standard of education is the latest report issued by PENTA International, an inspection body accredited by the British Government, which rated the school as “Excellent” in all categories.

The King’s College Murcia campus is located within the La Torre Golf Resort, approximately 30 minute from Murcia city centre,  25 minutes from Cartagena and 10 minutes from San Javier. The school has transport options for pupils to and from each neighbouring city.
