King’s College Soto

Founded in 1969, King’s College Soto, The British School of Madrid has excellent facilities designed for students of all ages, from 16 weeks to 18 years old.

The school’s modern facilities include 14 science laboratories, an auditorium for 350 people, a music school, a 3,000 m2 sports hall, an artificial grass soccer field, a 25 m heated swimming pool, judo and ballet rooms and even stables and a riding school.

King’s College bases its British educational model on academic rigour and teaching methods that promote the comprehensive development of students, both from a personal and academic point of view.

The students of King’s College Soto de Viñuelas achieve a high academic standard and have an extraordinary command of the English language, benefitting from a stimulating international environment with students of more than 64 nationalities.

Curriculum

The school follows the English National Curriculum. Senior school students study up to nine subjects in preparation for the award on the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSEs). 

In their final two years, Sixth Form pupils can choose to follow the GCE A Level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) system or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. 

Throughout the educational cycle, Spanish language and culture classes are taught to guarantee validation with the Spanish educational model. King’s College is one of the few schools in Spain that offers both the A Level system and the International Baccalaureate in English, taught by native English-speaking teachers (with the exception of specialist language teachers).

Location

King’s College Soto is located in a beautiful natural area of 12 hectares between the city of Madrid and the Guadarrama mountains, in Tres Cantos in the Soto de Viñuelas neighbourhood.

Fees and Admissions
