In 1969 the first British school was founded in Madrid. Since then, King’s College has provided children with a rigorous and broad British education. Pupils from the three British schools in Madrid go on to study at the best British universities as well as those in Spain, Europe and North America. King’s College is a co-educational day and boarding school which provides British education for children from Pre-Nursery (20 months) to Year 13. King’s Infant School located in Madrid’s central area of “Chamartín”, offers dedicated learning and outdoor play facilities, specifically built for children between the ages of 2 and 7 years old (from Pre-Nursery to Year 2). King’s College School (La Moraleja) is a British school with a superb location in the affluent residential area of La Moraleja, situated on a hill with impressive views of the Guadarrama Mountains. The classrooms cater for more than 700 children between the ages of 3 and 16 (Nursery to Year 11). King’s College, The British School of Madrid is located in Soto de Viñuelas, an affluent residential neighbourhood in Tres Cantos. It offers facilities specifically built for children between the ages of 20 months and 18 years (from Pre-Nursery to Year 13). In 2019, King’s College schools became members of Inspired, a leading global premium schools group operating in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, educating over 45,000 students across a global network of more than 64 schools.


King’s College Schools are the only schools in Madrid that are regularly inspected by the body, accredited by the British government. King’s College School La Moraleja has been awarded “Outstanding” in every category for three consecutive years by Penta International. Due to an excellent curriculum delivered through high-quality teaching and robust assessment practices, academic standards are very high. The behaviour of pupils is excellent and standards of care for their health and well-being are exemplary.
