Le Parc de la Tȇte D’Or

October 5, 2018 | Activities, France, Lyon

Lyon’s most iconic park in the city centre and the largest city park in France. Le Parc de la Tȇte D’Or is one of the best free things to do with kids in Lyon. The park is home to a small zoo, several different playgrounds, electric and surrey bike rentals, a vintage carousel and a little tourist train that is always popular with little ones. There is a beautiful boating lake with paddle boats in the Summer. Many visitors take picnics to eat on the grass, and there are two “buvettes” (refreshment stands) selling snacks, drinks and ice creams. The park is open daily from 6:30 am-8:30 pm from mid-April to mid-October stays open later until 10:30 pm.
