WASC-Accredited American Private School

Legacy Online School is a US-accredited private K–12 school founded in 2023, serving 1,200+ students across more than 30 countries.

Designed from the ground up for internationally mobile families, Legacy gives children access to a complete American academic programme: qualified teachers, live instruction, 19 AP courses, and a recognised high school diploma, without being tied to a single location.

The school operates across three learning formats to fit different family situations:

  • Live Group classes run with a cap of 15 students per group, maintaining the kind of teacher-student dynamic that actually moves a child forward.
  • One-on-One sessions offer a fully personalised schedule and pace.
  • Self-Paced enrollment removes fixed term dates entirely, which matters when a relocation lands mid-year.

All three paths lead to the same WASC-accredited US high school diploma, recognised by universities, employers, and military institutions worldwide.

The curriculum runs on FlexPoint Education Cloud, developed by Florida Virtual School, one of the most established online curriculum providers in the United States. Students can start at any point in the year, transfer credits between accredited institutions, and switch between learning formats as circumstances change. There are no geographic restrictions and no waiting lists. Enrollment takes 48 hours.

“We built Legacy for families who refuse to let a relocation set their children back. A WASC-accredited diploma, 19 AP courses, live teachers every school day, and the flexibility to make it work wherever you are.”  Vasilii Kiselev, Co-Founder & CEO, Legacy Online School

AP Courses and the Road to US Universities

For European families considering American higher education, Legacy’s 19 College Board-approved AP courses are the practical route in. Legacy holds College Board school code 000114, and AP scores are accepted at 500+ universities worldwide. Legacy graduates have already been accepted to Penn State, the University of Maryland, UNC Wilmington, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and the University of New Haven (the latter with a $30,000 merit scholarship).

Many families in Europe use Legacy part-time, running AP courses alongside a local school to build a competitive US university application without leaving their existing system. Legacy also serves as a primary school for expat families who have relocated outside their home country’s compulsory education system: a complete K–12 experience with live teachers, structured school days, and a US diploma at the end.

For families not subject to local compulsory schooling requirements, full K–12 enrollment is available immediately. For European students, a Legacy diploma is the most direct path to a US university application that actually competes, built on the same WASC standard as American private schools, with AP scores that admissions offices recognise.

Student Life and College Guidance

Legacy students are not just following a curriculum, they have access to virtual clubs and extracurricular activities, a structured Live School Schedule that mirrors a traditional school day for students who need routine, a dedicated college guidance programme, and dual enrollment pathways with Arizona State University (ASU) and the University of South Florida (USF). Tutoring is available at $25 per hour. A Summer School programme and standalone part-time courses round out the offering for families who want to start small before committing to full enrollment.

“We moved from Germany to Portugal mid-year and couldn’t find a school that matched our son’s level. Legacy enrolled him within two days. He’s now taking three AP courses alongside his local school, and the college guidance team is already helping him prepare applications for US universities. The flexibility is unlike anything we’d seen before.”  Anna K., parent, Lisbon
