Les Pouces Verts, Mouans-Sartoux

The Montessori School of Mouans-Sartoux, Les Pouces Verts was founded in 1976 and currently welcomes children from 2 to 15 years old.

About

The school applies the Montessori method of education, where the teaching material is adapted to actively integrate learning and methods are personalised for each individuals own rhythm, personality and development. In addition to academic teachings, each child develops qualities of openness to the world around him through the arts, music, languages, singing, and openness to others through a strengthened group life.

Classes are mixed age and divided into 5 age groups:

• 2-3
• 3-6
• 6-9
• 9-12
• 12-15

Like many Montessori centres, the school aims to feed children an organic diet based on fresh fruit and vegetables.

Fees & Admissions

School fees range between 509 to 800 euros monthly (10 months) depending on the age of the child and whether they will study for half a day or a full day. See more information (in French) here.

Location

Les school is located in Valbonne, in the hills behind Cannes and Antibes. The school is a 30-minute drive from Nice.
