Jessica Bigogno, psychotherapist and trained Mindfulness teacher applies Mindfulness with her individual clients as well as giving courses. Mindfulness is the act of present focussed awareness of what is happening right now, without judgment and with complete acceptance. Through mindful meditation, we become aware of what’s arising in the present moment. When thoughts about the past or future take us away from our present moment experience we practice gently bringing ourselves back to the now and therefore we decrease their effect on our lives and we create instead a space of freedom where calmness and contentment can grow. She lives and works in the Barcelona area where she gives group courses to individuals and companies as well as one to one mindfulness sessions.
Jessica brought to my attention many different ways to approach Mindfulness and how it can enrich my life and those around me. Prior to taking her course I was doing meditation based on books I read and videos I watched. These are no comparison to the knowledge I gained from taking Jessica´s course. Jessica’s course certainly helped me gain a deeper understanding of self-awareness. It also showed me how to take a different approach in dealing with stress or anxiety, which I have since put into practice when needed.
