Midwife & Lactation Consultant

María is a mother, midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) living in Valencia. During her nursing career (Italy, Spain and Ireland) she developed a passion for midwifery. She qualified and registered as a Midwife in Ireland in 2012 and a Lactation Consultant in 2015. After a decade in Dublin, she returned to Spain. She initially worked as part of a home-birth midwifery team called Titània in Barcelona, with women and families throughout their pregnancy, labour and postnatal period. Since 2017, she has worked in a public maternity hospital in her hometown, Valencia. She also offers private lactation support and midwifery care, tailored to meet each woman’s individual needs. Maria is passionate about holistic family-centred continuity of care.

Maria offers the following services online or in-person: antenatal education for couples, lactation education, private antenatal visits, postnatal visits and breastfeeding support. The in-person services are offered for people living in Valencia city and province, and some areas of the provinces of Castellón and Alicante Online services are offered to all women and families living in Spain.
