Baby & Toddler Nice
The blue Mediterranean is a beautiful setting for mum & baby groups in Nice. Well known for the magnificent bay, the Baie des Anges, there is a great flat promenade running along it’s length, perfect for pushing a buggy and many of the restaurants have outside seating overlooking the sea.
The recently revamped Promenade du Paillon sits just pack from the seafront, beginning at Place Massena, and is a fanastic space for strolling with babies. A long, flat park lined with giant dinosaurs and enormous wooden structures for kids to climb on, babies and toddlers will love crawling or walking along it’s vibrant length, and there are plenty of mist fountains and water jets to play in and cool off. A really wonderful spot for families to picnic and have fun under the city’s famously Azur skies.
There are a number of English speaking mum and baby groups in Nice, Monaco and Antibes to facilitate meeting other like-minded new parents when having a baby in the South of France.
There are also a growing number of dedicated mum and baby groups to be found in cafes – or cafe pousettes – and restaurants with indoor play areas, perfect for allowing little ones to play in a dedicated kids corner, while parents relax and socialise. There are Cafe Pousettes in Nice and other towns along the Cote d’Azur from Monaco to Antibes, Cagnes Sur Mer and Cannes, most of which also host fun events and creative workshops for parents and tots alike.
Nice has diverse workshops for new parents including first aid, support with breastfeeding, baby massage and more. There are fantastic baby and toddler activities in Nice too, ranging from early years music, baby gym and baby swimming classes.
