Things to do in Emilia-Romagna with Kids

There are many fantastic things to with in Romagna with kids, including Parma and the wider Emilia-Romagna region. Parma itself is home to a plethora of great museums, exhibits and art galleries, displaying some of Italy’s most iconic masterpieces.

Museums

The Museum of Natural History is hugely popular with families looking for fun indoor activities to do with kids in the local area on rainy days. Older kids will adore the Enzo Ferrari museum in Modena, learning all about the iconic cars on display and exploring the former Ferrari workshop.

Kids Entertainment

There are several cinemas in the region showing films in original versions with Italian subtitles, and a great bowling alley in Parma too. Most theatres in the region have family friends shows and events for kids, with some also offering creative workshops in the performing arts. Several fantastic indoor soft play centres provide fun indoor activities for toddlers and little ones, which also host great birthday parties for different ages.

The spectacular park of 100 lakes is located in the Eastern Apennine close to Parma, with outdoor nature activities for kids such as stunning hiking trails and cycling paths for different ages and abilities.
