There are many different maternity services in Rome, providing support for mums-to-be and new parents at each stage throughout pregnancy and beyond into parenthood. 

Maternity Clinics and Centres

The Italian capital is home to many highly regarded maternity clinics and hospitals, with English-speaking doctors throughout Rome and the surrounding areas. Most hospitals in Rome run antenatal courses for mums to be and host workshops and events covering different aspects of childbirth and newborn care. 

 

There are many different birth services available in the city, ranging from certified midwives to maternity concierges and baby planning services to help pregnant expat mums prepare for having a baby in Rome. There are many different non-profit associations headquartered in Rome, offering advice and assistance to women on all topics relating to motherhood and women’s health.

Holistic Therapies

Families have many holistic therapies available to them in the Italian capital, with alternative therapists offering homeopathy, yoga and meditation. There are also plenty of different fitness classes and group workouts specifically designed for pregnant women and new mums.

 

Rome has a large expat community with various events, and meet up groups for international families in the Italian capital to meet and create support networks when raising a family far from home.
