The benefits of living in the Costa Blanca

Living in the Costa Blanca offers an abundance of excellent lifestyle benefits for international families considering moving to Spain. The Costa Blanca (literally meaning “White Coast”) is over 200 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline in the Alicante province, on the southeastern coast of Spain. It extends from the town of Dénia in the north to Pilar de la Horadada in the south. The localities along the Costa Blanca include Jávea, Benidorm, Alicante and Torrevieja.

A growing community of expats in Alicante

The second largest Valencian city and the eighth largest metropolitan area of Spain, there are around 250,000 people living in Alicante. Alicante is one of the fastest-growing cities in Spain with an economy largely based on tourism and construction. The high number of expats in Alicante are well catered for, with extensive support networks and large numbers of English-speaking services.

Moving to Jávea as an international family

Jávea is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Spain with plenty to offer visitors and those living on the Costa Blanca. Families moving to Jávea can expect a picturesque old town with gothic buildings, port and sandy beaches. Since the 1970s Jávea has been an extremely popular destination for affluent northern European expats in the Costa Blanca with a high number of British people and expats living in Jávea. As well as spectacular sandy beaches, the region offers a plethora of great indoor and outdoor activities for kids.

English-speaking expats in Jávea

As so many international people are moving to the Costa Blanca, there are excellent services and amenities for expats in Jávea. English speaking doctors, dentists and specialists are readily available, and the friendly expats and locals are hugely welcoming. The environment is safe and peaceful, with a plethora of amenities including shops, restaurants and health services within walking distance. Families living in Jávea can make the most of lovely parks, sports clubs and international schools.
