Activities for Kids Toulouse

Dubbed La Ville Rose (The Pink City) for its many pink-hued brick buildings, Toulouse has fantastic outdoor activity ideas for kids. In the Old Town, there’s a wonderful mix of rosy red brick buildings, stunning Gothic architecture, and cobbled streets. Toulouse offers a whole variety of tours including the very child freindly Les Trains Touristiques de Toulouse (The Little Tourist Trains) which takes visitors on audio guided tours to see the most important historical sites in Toulouse.

A river cruise is also a great way for families to see Toulouse. The Canal du Midi borders the old town running from the city of Toulouse down to the Mediterranean port of Sète. The Canal du Midi is arguably the most beautiful and well-known stretch of inland waterway in Southern France.

There are many exciting indoor activities for kids in Toulouse. There are lots of child friendly museums including Cité de l’Espace full of hands on activities. Pavillon Blanc in Colomiers offers workshops and conferences in light modern arts space and a library with a striking concrete shell. There you can find media and artistic workshops for school age children.
