Valencia has around a million inhabitants, predominantly from the city itself of from the close-lying villages and towns. There is also a large number of Spaniards from other parts of Spain. Valencia also has a fair amount foreigners, attracted by a growing economy and available employment. The largest groups are from Latin America, Africa and China. European and North American expat families are present too and are growing thanks to the affordable quality of life, outdoor lifestyle and good schools.
