Oak House School in Barcelona is a co-educational institution, founded in 1968, that follows the English national curriculum up until keystage 5 (years 12 -13).

Curriculum

Oak House School teaches the English national curriculum through primary school (5 – 12 years of age), complemented by Spanish and Catalan language classes from year 2 as well as humanities subjects in Spanish. The school claims that after finishing primary school pupils can effectively communicate in all three of the school’s main languages: English, Spanish and Catalan.

In secondary school, pupils are prepared for both the Catalan regional curriculum (ESO) as well as for Cambridge-regulated iGCSE exams in the following possible subjects:

  • English Language
  • English Literature
  • Spanish First Language
  • Mathematics
  • Combined Science
  • Art/Music/Drama/P.E.
During the final two years of education, pupils can either follow the regional Batxillerat courses or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), taught in English. Oak House School is located in the Sarrià district of Barcelona, and is a 20-minute drive from the city centre.

Fees & Admissions

School fees start at €9,000 annually (monthly payments are possible) and go up to €11,000 for students taking the International Baccalaureate. Enrolment fees and information for the 2020-21 academic year can be found here.
