Niguarda is a large metropolitan hospital home to all clinical and surgical specialties for adults and children. A national and regional reference centre for the treatment and diagnosis of numerous pathologies, including many rare diseases, Niguarda is also one of the main transplant centres in Lombardy, an excellence for cardiac pathologies, time-dependent diseases, major trauma and emergencies.
In 2020, it was the only Italian centre to enter the “top 50” of the best hospitals in the world according to the American magazine Newsweek, while in 2025 it achieved first place in Italy in the “World’s Best Hospitals”.
