Parque del Oeste

This park was designed as a  place for strolling and resting. This is an ideal play area for children, with it’s spacious stretches of lawn,  shady trees and sandy paths. With an area of ​​around 100 hectares, this important green space is between the A Coruña road, the University City and the Moncloa area. The park was the initiative of the mayor of Madrid, Alberto Aguilera, in 1906, and landscaped by the artist Cecilio Rodríguez.
