This park was designed as a place for strolling and resting. This is an ideal play area for children, with it’s spacious stretches of lawn, shady trees and sandy paths. With an area of around 100 hectares, this important green space is between the A Coruña road, the University City and the Moncloa area. The park was the initiative of the mayor of Madrid, Alberto Aguilera, in 1906, and landscaped by the artist Cecilio Rodríguez.
