As the Director of the overnight English summer camps she founded over 10 years ago, Phoebe Hoyt has become a master of multi-tasking. She loves her job, and both coaches and campers attending the camps love being part of the fun. Her camps attract many children, ages 7 to 12 and 11 to 14 years of age, from the English speaking world because at Active English, the focus is not on English lessons but on lessons in English. They offer horse back riding, golf at Villa d’Este, tennis, tent night on the villa’s property, rugby, volleyball, pool play, archery, a ropes course, theatre, gardening, painting, and much more! There are many sessions to choose from but they fill early on in the year so it is important to contact them ahead of time.
